This Valentino Rossi photo is part of a unique series of MotoGP photographic art by Scott Jones. Each stunning photo in this MotoGP series is printed on heavy 270gsm satin paper and professionally framed in a contemporary black brushed-aluminium frame with conservation-grade white mount.
Valentino Rossi's preparation as a MotoGP rider is highly ritualized, and each time he leaves his pit box he does the same things in the same order. Trying to find a unique image of any part of his ritual is difficult, but when MotoGP came to the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas for the first time, the backlighting of the CotA garages was a helpful photographic element. In this moment Scott was also lucky to catch one of Rossi's team members mirroring his head-down posture. When Rossi saw this image for the first time, he requested a print of it for his own collection.
