Add this fantastic Amalgam 1:8 scale model of Ayrton Senna's MP4-6 car to your display, inspired by the 1991 FIA Formula One World Championship™ and the Japanese Grand Prix in which the Brazilian drove for McLaren.
The year 1991 was a championship winning season for Senna with the driver receiving 96 points. It was a successful year for the team too with them topping the constructor's standings. This scale replica is modelled on the car raced at the Japanese Grand Prix which was the championship determiner. Nigel Mansell in the Williams was Senna’s closest opponent but after Mansell ended up in the gravel trap, Senna went on to claim his third Driver’s World Championship that day.
This model features the classic McLaren white and red liveries, Senna's car number '1' and includes the sponsorship branding from the year 1991 including Shell, Honda and Boss. Using CAD data to scan the original car, the model has been recreated to replicate the real thing. The product, handcrafted from the Amalgam Collection, also comes with a certificate of authenticity.
