Michael Schumacher race-used framed Nomex
A rare piece of racing history, this Alpinestars Nomex top was worn by Michael Schumacher in the FIA F1 2012 World Championship.
Nomex is subject to rigorous testing prior to approval for racing; the main requirement is that it should be able to resist an open flame at a temperature of over 300 degrees Celsius for at least 10 seconds.
Professionally framed in a sleek black box frame, double mounted with an acid-free conservation grade black mount-board background, this essential piece of F1 safety kit is transformed into impressive artwork for your home or office wall. The carbon-fibre effect plaque describes its legendary previous owner; the one and only Michael Schumacher.
The frame is finished off with top-grade acrylic ‘artscreen’ instead of glass to protect this important piece of memorabilia in shipping. You won’t tell the difference between the artscreen and glass once it’s on your wall. The shirt is attached to the mountboard with protective ‘invisible tags’ to ensure no damage to the original teamwear.
Comes complete with Certificate of Authenticity. Frame measures 93.5cm high x 62.8cm wide x 5.3cm deep.
